Air Conditioning Engineer Job Description
This is a full-time role for an Air Conditioning Installation Engineer based in Birmingham or surrounding areas. The position requires a professional with at least five years of experience in HVAC installation and maintenance, particularly with expertise in VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) systems. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of climate control systems in both commercial and residential settings. The candidate must be willing to travel between job sites and stay out of town when required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain various HVAC systems
- Conduct troubleshooting and ensure efficient system operation
- Work in both commercial and residential environments
- Communicate effectively with customers
- Complete necessary paperwork and documentation
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of five years of experience in HVAC installation, with specific expertise in VRF systems
- Strong background in building maintenance, repair, and HVAC system management
- Proficient in maintenance and repair of heating and cooling systems
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Relevant certification or degree in HVAC or engineering
- F-gas certification
- CSCS Card
- IPAF certification
- PASMA certification
- NVQ Level 1 & 2 in HVAC or related field
Desired Qualifications:
- C&G Safe Handling of Hydrocarbons
- Mitsubishi Electric CMPT part 1 & 2
- Daikin manufacturer training
- 18th Addition Wiring regulations
Skills:
- Expertise in VRF installation
- Strong knowledge of Building Maintenance and HVAC systems
- Facility Management skills
- In-depth knowledge of maintenance techniques for climate control systems
Additional Requirements:
Must have a full, clean driving license.
